This affiliate branch will be led by some of the local lending industry’s brightest leaders. With over 60 years of experience combined, Ian Jack and Keith Jacobs are experts in the local real estate investment landscape. They have a proven track record of vision, leadership, and success in real estate lending.
Ian Jack started Surety Financial with Keith Jacobs before it was purchased by Wintrust Financial in 2013. The two are happy to be back working in the commercial private lending space and have been waiting for technology like the OneSource by PCS platform to disrupt the common daisy chain problem found in private bridge lending.
“The technology has some real advantages, you can upload data into a dropbox, you can use DocuSign and you have access to clients and to high net worth people,” Jack said.
Jacobs and Jack have had immediate success with the platform. They closed a bridge loan for a high net worth client who had capital tied up in her business. The client purchased the investment property with 10% down by cross-collateralizing two other properties in the same development.
“It was a safe loan, but it wasn’t a loan that a bank would approve,” said Jack.
The bridge loan was closed quickly due to the leadership of Jacobs and Jack as well as the quick access to interest rates and capital that both investors bring to the table.
“We are helping bring investor capital to OneSource,” Jack said. “But the platform also provides an improved experience for the customer. A more institutional style, like OneSource, makes a huge difference. It stabilizes the experience for the borrower.”
“It’s an evergreen capital source,” Jacobs continued.
Jack and Jacobs are also joined by John Hollingworth, another seasoned veteran in the real estate lending space. Hollingworth previously worked at Colliers International and CBRE as an Executive Managing Director and was responsible for the firm’s four local offices.
